Landscapes: A Journey of Self-Discovery Through the Lens of Nature is a deeply personal fine art collection, born from nearly a decade of art-as-therapy photographic sessions. Many of these images, which have remained private until now, offer a glimpse into the emotions and experiences that I navigated during the creation of this body of work. I began using art as therapy during my high school years, a tumultuous period marked by death in the family, the dissolution of our closely knit family unit due to divorce, the loss of an art mentor to suicide, and the culture shock of being an exchange student in the USA during the 9/11 attacks. Our minds and bodies are remarkably resilient, but even they have their limits when confronted with such an onslaught of traumatic events.
